How to Play Jinxed Game
Build a combo, save your shield, and leave a friend a challenge.
1. Choose your game
Daily gives everyone the same three prompts and House picks on the same UTC date. Practice creates a fresh seeded mix. A friend challenge link loads the sender’s exact three prompts and House picks, with their score as your target. Every mode is solo, with three 30-second rounds.
2. Type a different answer
Type a valid answer and press Enter or tap the arrow. Answers come from a curated list with common aliases. Invalid or repeated answers earn no points, but do not break your combo or spend your shield. Base points are 100, 200, 350, or 500 depending on the editorial tier.
3. Build a clean-answer combo
Three clean answers unlock a 1.25 multiplier for your next eligible answer. Every three more clean answers adds 0.25, up to 2. A House match without protection earns half the base points and resets the combo. A new round starts a new combo. Already-earned points stay yours.
4. Pick your shield moment
You have one shield for the entire game. Tap Arm shield before submitting a risky answer. Your next accepted, unique answer spends it, even if the answer is safe. A shielded House match earns full combo points and continues your clean streak. Tap again before submitting to put an armed shield away.
5. Challenge a friend
After the final round, tap Challenge a friend. Send the copied link. Your friend gets the same prompts in the same order, the same House answers, and one shield of their own. The target score is self-reported; this is a friendly asynchronous challenge, not a verified leaderboard.
6. Discover something new
Practice now draws from 12 categories. Fresh brew starts immediately with three topics different from your last completed game. Each round’s recap shows three answers you missed. Keep a few discoveries in mind for next time. Your v2 personal best and best clean-answer streak are saved locally. New answers also enter your discovery journal for 20 XP. Complete a game for 30 XP, and each daily side quest adds 40 XP. These rewards do not change game scores.
